I have enjoyed using the knife on green Jam Wattle. It was beautifully sharp and has retained its edge. I also have the hook knives for spoon carving and used them making spoons in hard green Eucalypts from the WA Wheatbelt Woodlands and they have been great. I love the little leather guards.

Very nicely made and balanced knife . Certainly not a fine edge out of the box , infact dull in my experience . Not too difficult to stone a good edge , however , doesnt hold for long. I dont subscribe to knives being rated as beginner to advanced etc as I believe a sharp blade is a safe blade , for too many reasons to list here . Represents average value for money .
